Genesis has been open to industries and sectors that are not
traditionally covered by business incubators. The attitude was simple:
if it can be a profitable business and we have the right people that can
add value, we will not shy away from pursuing the business. New ideas
and venues of promoting food products has lead to the creation of a
department within Alpha
Genesis that has proven to be very profitable - as an investor in food
we have developed key competencies in:
Introducing food products of large multinationals such as Del
Monte and Lindt to the new markets of the Caucasus and
Central Asia: Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan,
Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan. The Del Monte agreement also includes Israel.
Developing the business of the U.S. leading ice tea producer AriZona
across Europe, the former Soviet Union, and certain Middle East
countries. A sample of our activities is the business in the United
Kingdom, whereby Alpha Genesis has the controlling position of American
Drinks Ltd www.americandrinks.com,
www.arizona.uk.com
Establishing our own brand of products under the Deli Slim line
of products: www.delislim.com
Our investments expand in the area of logistical support to the
above companies through facilities (e.g. bonded warehouses) that we have
an interest in the Black Sea and the Mediterranean.
