strategic partnerships for its portfolio companies. Given
the competitive dimensions of the industry, these
relationships are sought in close consultation with the
prospective portfolio company in order to avoid conflicts
of interest.
A primary goal is to assist
with the opening of new markets by facilitating
relationships with distributors or/and retailers.
Depending on the project, we would pursue equity
participation from companies involved in the sale of
aquaculture products.
In
developing countries is also important to consider as a
strategic partner the relevant development agency that
promotes the aquaculture sector. Beyond the financial
benefits from such an affiliation, Alpha Genesis expects
to disseminate lessons from other countries relating to
regulatory measures that account for valid environmental
concerns in the advancement of the aquaculture
industry.
